Thanks for using Hero Translate! Our mission is to create a more enlightened way of working by providing an intuitive, unified platform that allows you to get professional translations, transcriptions, proofreading and similar services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover your use of and access to our services, websites and our sales conditions. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information. Using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy.
When you use our Services, you can provide us with things like your files, content, messages, contacts and so on (“Your Stuff”). Your Stuff is yours. These Terms don’t give us any rights to Your Stuff except for the limited rights that enable us to offer the Services.
We need your permission to do things like hosting Your Stuff, backing it up and working on it when you ask us to.
Our Services also provide you with features such as word count to help create an automatic instant quote and submit an order without contacting us. To provide these and other features, Hero Translate accesses, stores and scans Your Stuff. You permit us to do those things, and this permission extends to our affiliates and trusted third parties we work with.
Hero Translate guarantees quality and delivery dates. We strive to provide excellent Services, but there are certain things that we can't guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a job, we will provide another version as quickly as possible at our expense. If the second version is still unacceptable, you shall have the right to partial or total reimbursement.
These general sales conditions apply to all jobs carried out by Hero Translate for its clients. All translation/proofreading/transcription requests must be accompanied by an order, including the price established by the parties. This order can be created automatically on our website or sent to us via email or live chat; we reserve the right to refuse to start a job without an order.
The translation/proofreading/transcription cost shall be calculated using a count of words in the source language unless otherwise previously established in writing. If a client cancels an order, all work already effected shall be billed completely, while suspended work shall be billed at 50%.
Unless otherwise specified, we start the job only after you have paid the order. Hero Translate shall not be held liable for any reason whatsoever for translation/proofreading/transcriptions that are not stylistically satisfactory. Particularly for advertising and promotional material, the services of Hero Translate shall be limited to simple translation/proofreading/transcription, unless expressly requested. Hero Translate shall not be liable for drafting the translated text in, for example, an advertising style that is different from the source text. Our liability shall be limited to the amount of the invoice.
Complaints shall only be considered if received by registered mail with return receipt within seven days of delivery of the job(s) or part of the job(s). All complaints must be accompanied by the original documents, disputed translation/proofreading/transcription, and a letter of explanation. Once the above period has elapsed, the translation/proofreading/transcription shall be considered correct. In the event of an unsatisfied client where a complaint is made within the established deadlines, Hero Translate agrees, at its own expense, to deliver an edited version of the disputed translation/proofreading/transcription within a timeframe equal to one-third of that previously established for the job. This second document shall be used to judge the quality of the translation/proofreading/transcription to establish the amount of reimbursement at Hero Translate's discretion.
Hero Translate shall not be held liable for any delays caused by malfunctioning email and/or other mail or carriers not directly controlled by Hero Translate.
In the event of late delivery where the time late is more than one-third of the established delivery time, and if the delay is directly and solely attributable to Hero Translate, reimbursement shall be paid, be established between the parties, up to an amount of 100% of the job delivered late. Defects present in one part of the translation/proofreading/transcription shall not be grounds, for any reason whatsoever, for questioning the entire translation/proofreading/transcription. Hero Translate reserves the right to modify the translation/proofreading/transcription in such a case.
Others’ intellectual property rights may protect content in the Services. Please don’t copy, upload, or share with us content unless you have the right to do so.
We aren’t responsible for the content people post and share via the Services. Help us keep Your Stuff protected. Safeguard your password to the Services and keep your account information current. Don’t share your account credentials or give others access to your account. You may use our Services only as permitted by applicable law, including export control laws and regulations. Finally, you must be at least 13 years old (or older, depending on where you live) to use our Services.
The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms don’t grant you any right, title or interest in the Services, others’ content in the Services, Hero Translate trademarks, logos and other brand features. We welcome feedback, but please note that we may use comments or suggestions without any obligation to you.
Let’s try to sort things out first. All complaints must be accompanied by the original documents, disputed services (e.g., translation), and a letter of explanation. Once the above time period has elapsed, the translation shall be considered correct. We want to address your concerns without needing a formal legal case. Before filing a claim against Hero Translate, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting info@herotranslate.com. We’ll try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting you via email. You or Hero Translate may bring a formal proceeding if a dispute is not resolved within 15 days of submission.

If an update affects your use of the Services or your legal rights as a user of our Services, we'll notify you before the update's effective date by sending an email to the email address associated with your account. These updated terms will be effective no less than 30 days from when we notify you. If you don't agree to the updates we make, please cancel your account before they become effective.
